Information Request Form

Due to the overly high volume of call outs that the team has experienced over the summer ( a record of 7 in about a months time), the team has decided to postpone the August meeting and training until September.

2009 officer elections were conducted and our new team officers are:
     Assistant Team Leader - Jerry Lester
     Secretary - Peter Sterr
     Equipment Officer - Chad

     A new position of Swift Water Specialist has been created based on the need for someone to focus on that specific discipline.  Jim Virgin was nominated and voted into that position.

2009 officer elections will take place at the next meeting.  Positions for election are: Equipment Officer, Secretary, and Assistant Team Leader.

01/26/2009 - New member candidates Rob and Chad.

Two new members are looking at joining up, we look forward to there continued interest in SWORD.

10/26/2008 New members Peter Sterr and Michael Pement have completed their first round of training and are ready to respond to callouts in "Diver" status.

07/15/2008 - UW Video Training Conducted.

We conducted some much needed UW Video Training with our camera gear under the Lacenter bridge.  We successfully used our drop camera via diver control as well.  Nice!

04/10/2008 - Task book updates.

Task Books are completed and approved by the SAR Board.  Basic re-training for active team members to have task books signed off will be completed on May 4th.

02/28/2008 - Task book updates.

Task Books. Tim Woodring is working on task books, which are required for call outs. Training and getting the team up to speed with the requirements in the task books will take place in late March.
